Put tablet in Baker’s Meaty chunk. Hand chunk to dog. Dog eats chunk, spits out tablet. Cut slightly slimy tablet in two, drop into food, give food to dog. Dog eats food and one half of tablet grab tablet in one hand and dog in the other, drop tablet in dog’s mouth and hold closed. Dog swallows. Release dog. Dog spits tablet on floor. Repeat step 3 but this time holding dog’s mouth closed for longer. Finally, the tablet is gone!!

It's easy giving tablets to dogs
You know this business of it being easier to get a tablet down a dog than down a cat? It’s so not true!!
Might just skip straight to step 4 tonight… sigh… she’s been living with cats for too long!

Have you tried processed cheese slices?
*lol* Jenny's exactly like that, we always skip to step no 4 right away. She's also on a course of antibiotics right now (because of her little paw). Ben's always been so easy. A tiny piece of meat, cheese, bread or whatever and he's swallowed the pill. Some of the pills he'll take as they are if you smear a little bit of butter on them.
I don't think processed cheese would work... When she was on tablets back in January, the meaty chunk or processed cheese option worked every time. For some reason she's started chewing her food properly since then... or maybe it's that these tablets aren't the 'liver-flavoured' pink ones like last time, maybe they taste reaaally nasty.
*shrug* Either way, step 4 worked fine tonight, followed immediately by a couple of tasty treats to wash away the taste! Only 22 more tablets to go :D
Your post paints a great picture! With Prince, and his twelve tablets a day, I used to find a piece of cold sausage with a slit cut in it and the tablet pushed right in, worked every time. He was never much of a chewer of food though.....
From our own experience step 4 is the best!
Have a good night
